Competition sucks.
No, really.
It sucks.
Yes, it forms an integral part of world economic systems, sporting events, business, you name it, but let us think about what competition is, actually. It is a physical manifestation of separation, our mad desire to see ourselves as independently-existing units at war with other for resources we presume, in our ignorance, to be finite.
Even here in the world, where we have agreed to be bound by our economic systems, our legal systems, our competitive forms of entertainment, everything, there are other solutions to working with one another. Collaboration--true collaboration--is one of them.
My guest on this edition of Decide to Transform, Annette Maria, at one point found herself worn out and sick of competition. She has since devoted her life to collaborative ventures, aiming to gather people for a shared sacred experience.
Annette considers collaboration--and all of human experience--a sacred dance. These days she is the Host of the podcast Sacred Dance and the Publisher of the multi-author book Caged No More, available soon.
